The Talent Specialist role performs varied and complex administrative and technical functions in support of the Human Resources Talent and Culture Division. This work entails a great deal of administrative and technical work, requiring candidates to have strong attention to detail, a knack for identifying efficiencies and diverse skills and abilities in multi-tasking, organizing, and research. Typical Tasks

Your day-to-day work will include...

Providing daily administrative and technical support to the Talent and Culture division by creating job requisitions, developing comprehensive job postings, conducting initial application screening for active recruitments, and utilizing various recruitment channels to source potential candidates.
Coordinating and conducting background checks, supporting ongoing applicant communication, and reviewing new hire documentation in preparation for onboarding.
Coordinating with Talent and Culture division to facilitate effective onboarding and offboarding processes and identifying ways to streamline and improve processes.
Generating reports and tracking metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
Ensuring maintenance of applicant database systems, staying up-to-date with relevant software and tools, and providing support and training for new users.
Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of personnel transaction forms for current employees and processing required paperwork for recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
Collecting market data and completing salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation.
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate staffing records and running reports and queries to support departmental needs.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

What's required...

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a technical institute or community college in business, human resources, or related field and considerable experience in responsible administrative and office management work.

What's desired...

Preference will be given to candidates who possess any of the following:

Experience in Human Resources functions, including recruitment or talent acquisition
Experience with HR software and/or applicant database systems
Experience working on a wide variety of responsible administrative and technical duties while being extremely detail-oriented and organized
Experience working independently with autonomy and in a collaborative, team environment
Experience exercising discretion and proper judgement while working on confidential assignments and tasks
Experience managing technical tasks with an open, adaptive mind
Experience communicating effectively with employees, both in writing and orally
Experience in collecting data and analyzing current practices for enhanced efficiencies
