Talent Acquisition Specialist I
Cordoba Corporation is looking for a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources Team in identifying hiring needs and filling job openings. The responsibilities of the dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, and keeping abreast of employment law related to hiring.
A successful Talent Acquisition Specialist has excellent interpersonal skills, is organized and detail-oriented, remains up to date with employment legislature, and keeps informed in company hiring and internship programs—knowledge in assessing candidates' skills and experience and matching them to our open positions.
Responsibilities
- Work on the ATS iCIMS platform and other job boards to source and identify all relevant resumes for each open requisition.
- Meet with the hiring manager(s) to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and interview feedback – this role relies heavily on partnerships with each sector.
- Screen candidates who apply to requisitions and present pre-screen forms to your hiring team.
- Source candidates – often, the best candidates are the ones not actively looking.
- Discuss candidates you have screened with your client groups and recommend top candidates for interviews.
- Partner and build collaborative relationships with hiring leaders of assigned functional areas to understand hiring needs and strategic objectives, as well as candidates’ level of experience and desired characteristics or competencies.
- Be a self-starter and like and adapt to change.
- Attending appropriate HR and business function staff meetings and providing recruiting updates.
- Assist hiring leaders in developing appropriate job descriptions to attract a well-defined candidate pool.
- Format and submit quality resumes to internal clients for presentation.
- Understand the external factors that impact the supply of top talent, position tenure, salary level structure, candidate supply, and candidate requirements for various job categories.
- Assist in training hiring leaders in the interviewing and onboarding processes.
- Participate in other human resources team projects on a need basis.
- Attend Career Fairs on a need basis.
Qualifications
- Proven 2-4 years of recruiting experience as a technical recruiter for the Electric, Gas, or Oil industry or utility firm is a must.
- Non-degree holders must possess a High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, human resources certificate, or related area.
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources/business administration or similar subject matter is preferred.
- Experience with Boolean operators and advanced internet sourcing techniques such as X-Raying and Flip Searching to successfully identify passive and active candidates.
- Experience with ATS Systems (i.e., iCIMS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Suites, etc.)
- Advanced computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience in applicant tracking systems. iCIMS experience preferred.
- Experience with reverse searching in LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Excellent at being organized and prioritizing.
- Source and qualify potential candidates for technical aptitude and soft skills.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quick learner and ability to think on your feet.
- Agency recruitment is preferred.
- Capability to handle many open requisitions. (Minimum 15-20 open requisitions)
- Occasional car travel from Cordoba office locations (i.e., mainly in the SoCal region.
- This is a hybrid role with some days in the office.
- 2-3 current references required.
