DescriptionWe are looking for a HR Coordinator (40 hours per week) in our Elmwood Park, NJ location.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm hybrid (3-4 days per week)
Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative support for our HR Operations and Leave Management functions as well as for special projects within HR as a whole, as needed. The right person for this role is self-motivated, possesses strong critical thinking skills, and has an interest in growing their career in Human Resources.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Field calls from employees via our HR extension and outlook mailbox, providing tier 1 level support
- Examples of tier 1 support include: transferring calls to the appropriate department, scheduling follow-ups with our HR Generalists for more advanced questions/issues, answering basic employee questions, directing callers to the right system for support, etc.
- Liaise and collaborate with our payroll department, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders as needed
- Review, scan, and distribute physical mail that comes in to the HR department
- Assist with administrative tasks related to new hire onboarding and offboarding
- Run reports from ADPR for audits and reporting requests
- Perform data entry for responding to unemployment claims, workers comp/incident reports, employment verifications, etc.
- Gather and organize employee or company data to be entered into ADP Vantage
- Assist with administrative components for special projects/larger HR initiatives as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years’ experience in a customer-facing or data-intensive role
- Outstanding customer/employee interaction skills both in person and by phone
- Proficient data entry and analysis skills utilizing systems like excel, outlook, Teams, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred
- Human Resources/HRIS/HCM experience a plus
