About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Talent Advisor within Talent Acquisition to lead recruitment support for Gilead’s Corporate Functions business partners within Gilead Sciences in North America
Reporting to the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition for Corporate Functions, the successful individual will serve as a key partner to Gilead’s business leaders and HR leadership team. Foster City (Preferred), Raleigh, or Remote

In this role, you will be viewed as a credible, knowledgeable Principal TA (Talent Acquisition) Talent Advisor working closely with key business stakeholders to achieve their hiring objectives.
Specific Job Requirements
The role will require, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

Member of the North America Talent Acquisition Team
-
You will be comfortable carrying and delivering end to end sourcing and recruiting for requisitions within the assigned business function.

Partner with Hiring Managers and HRBP Teams to develop and operationalize a recruitment strategy to fulfill hiring objectives and serve as the main point of contact
-
Establish ongoing relationships with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to understand their business and recruitment needs
-
Create and drive diverse talent slates and pipelines in partnership with the Inclusion & Diversity team
-
The ability to work across the HR landscape partnering with HR and TA COEs, Procurement, and Legal to support business talent hiring needs
-
Effectively manage volumes and recruiting peaks and troughs
-
Effectively Partner with Strategic Sourcing on individual searched as well as hiring projects.

May mentor or train one or more Talent Acquisition Recruiters, operational specialists/coordinators, recommending process improvements.

Viewed as a primary resource for methods and processes within Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

Contributes to capability building of the broader TA Function through facilitating and leading Community of Practice sessions

Drives and Delivers on the I&D Recruiting strategy, early Talent, Professional Association, and campus wide events to broaden the Diverse talent pipelines and positively brand Gilead to internal and external stakeholders.

Will be a key project member for diversity and career events throughout the year.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors
Basic Requirements
-
HS Diploma/GED with 12+ years OR an AA/AS degree with 10 + Years OR a BS/BA degree with 8 + years OR a MA/MS degree with 6+ years of experience recruiting in biopharmaceutical industry Healthcare/ Medical Device or Biopharmaceutical related industry.
-
Experience successfully recruiting in cross functional matrixed corporate environment.
-
Specific experience with leading project deliverables and teams with direct and indirect leadership accountabilities.
-
Experience managing hi-touch in-house recruiting delivery within a large organization is highly desired.
-
Experience managing complex searches at Senior Leadership levels and above within the business.
-
Direct knowledge of HR functional disciplines, e.g., employee relations, full cycle recruiting, compensation / benefits, Immigration, relocation, applicant tracking, OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs), Reporting, Presentation, Sourcing, Market Analytics

Ability to quickly establish credibility with diverse audiences and deliver results.
-
Robust collaboration and problem-solving mindset, and a history of successfully influencing partners whilst maintaining respectful and trusted relationships.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong project management skills
-
Able to exercise judgement and independently resolve and take appropriate action where precedent may not exist.

Must be willing to work onsite at a Gilead Office 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) unless the successful candidate is categorized as remote.
Desired Attributes:

Strong preference for local candidate in Foster City, CA to support key client groups but flexible on location. Remote employees must be able to travel 4-6 times a year to sites and career fairs.

Experience with TA Data and Analytics reporting.

Previous experience recruiting for Human Resources, Finance and Corporate Strategy.

The salary range for this position is: $154,020.00 - $199,320.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
