Position Title: Human Resources Generalist
POSITION SUMMARY:
SolarLogix is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding new employees, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. As well as other administrative functions, workers’ compensation, compliance and safety team planning.
SolarLogix is a rapidly growing company, with 35+ employees, providing clean energy solutions to both residential and commercial customers.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
- Responsible for on boarding newly hired employees to include: employee handbook overview, employment documents, and benefit enrollment.
- Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations and classifications.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Manages workers’ compensation injury claims. File reports with insurance provider, maintain accident information and monitor progress.
- Record and maintain data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, change of statuses, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
- Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits and other pertinent information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Previous Human Resources experience required.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
- Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
- Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
- Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations.
- Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and G Suite is essential.
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion, professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
