The Director of Talent and Performance Management is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of organization-wide strategies that increase the depth and diversity of the talent bench, drive a high-performance culture, strengthen employee knowledge and abilities, and improve leadership competence. Manages the performance and talent management programs and ensures ensure performance management is integrated with business strategy. Manages design and implementation of performance management and talent management processes, communication, and training. Assists with coaching leaders on effective techniques to have ongoing, development focused performance conversations with their employees. Measures effectiveness and incorporates best practices for various initiatives aimed at identifying, assessing, and growing talent.
- Designs, implements and manages CoreCivic's talent management, succession planning and high potential identification and development processes. Identifies and evaluates tools to be used in conjunction with these enterprise processes. Works with company leaders to ensure fulfillment of leadership development plans.
- Develops and manages the yearly projects to deliver talent and performance management including project planning, material preparation, communication, training and post-cycle data capture and analysis. Leads all talent review processes and calibration sessions. Provides day-to-day support for performance management activities. Works closely with the HR Systems team on the design and implementation of talent management processes in applicable HR systems. Tracks and analyzes data from talent programs to inform leadership of trends. Incorporates best practices and continuous improvement techniques.
- Leads ongoing performance management processes, ensuring that leaders and employees are informed, trained and coached on goals setting, development plans, performance improvement plans, mid-year check-ins, self-reviews, and annual performance reviews.
- Designs, implements, and manages leadership assessment strategies to identify and assess leaders at all levels. Leverages assessment tools aimed strengthening leadership capabilities. Incorporates best practices and continuous improvement techniques to meet evolving business needs.
- Co-leads the development and ongoing management of individual success profile strategies that codify the ingredients of success in individual roles, including career experiences, skills and competencies.
- Supports the development of coaching and mentoring capability throughout the organization toward the desired state of continuous feedback. Co-manages the coach/coachee matching and follow-up processes.
- Designs and conducts supply and demand analyses of CoreCivic's current and future human capital and competency needs and recommends strategies to meet those needs. Conducts analysis of internal and benchmark talent data to identify trends and support talent management programs.
- Domestic U.S. travel is required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or an acceptable related field is required.
- Five years of Human Resources work experience is required.
- Experience with cloud-based talent systems is preferred.
- Experience with talent management, performance management and succession planning are required.
- Three years of experience in a leadership capacity is preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Project management experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
