```Job Overview```
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefit Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll and Benefit Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. This is a crucial role that requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial concepts, and the ability to work effectively with both employees and external vendors.
```Duties```
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 350+ employees (both hourly and salary)
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of payroll and benefit data and resolve any discrepancies
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding payroll or benefit inquiries and issues
- Collaborate with HR team to develop and implement benefit policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll or benefit laws and regulations
- Assist with open enrollment process and provide guidance to employees on available options
```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in payroll benefits administration or related role
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefit laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA)
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom) for payroll and benefits administration
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform general ledger reconciliations
- Familiarity with governmental accounting principles is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
