Responsible for compensation-related projects and partners with HR team members to deliver compensation-related services to assigned business organization(s). Analyze and process information related to the compensation of Associates based on their positions and other compensable factors. Evaluates jobs using established evaluation methodologies and recommends job placement within established grade structures. Conducts and/or participates in compensation surveys. Assists with compensation projects including survey submissions, Market Pricing tool, and compensation studies including integration of acquisitions. Analyzes and assists in developing salary structures and presentations for their implementation.
- Partners with Senior Manager, Compensation, Vice President, Total Rewards, or assigned HR Business Partners to deliver compensation services, ensuring adherence to STERIS policy and practices.
- Assist with compensation-related projects including global survey submissions and compensation studies (e.g. structure development and implementation, integrations, re-organizations, job family hierarchies, merit, bonus, and stock annual budget development, programmatic changes). Model costs and Associate impact analysis and drive implementation of approved changes.
- Evaluates positions for grade placement based on the content of the job and various salary survey sources ensuring that all relevant factors have been addressed such as geographic differences, and age of data. Compare jobs internally for internal equity and make recommendations for grade level changes.
- Educates and informs the organization about STERIS compensation policies and practices and makes recommendations based on internal and external sources/best practice.
- Advise managers and HR on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with budgetary guidelines. Conduct periodic audits of Compensation data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assists with special research and keeps current on regulatory changes as needed and makes recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance with 3-5 years compensation experience or 6-8 years' compensation experience with CCP or work toward designation
- Prior experience managing Company global mobility processes or programs preferred.
- In depth knowledge of compensation theories and practical applications is required.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or work toward designation is a plus, and required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with compensation in a manufacturing and/or operations environment preffered.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
- Prefer expert Excel and Access skills.
- International knowledge and experience a plus
- Advanced spreadsheet and database capabilities are required.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required. Ability to manage ambiguity, inform and influence while working well with others in a collaborative team environment.
