Description:

Conduct new employee orientations, schedule interviews, pre-hire screening and conduct reference checks. Participate on the team(s) making hiring decisions.
- Responsible for processing weekly payroll for the Company; NY and NC
- Monitors employee time and attendance for compliance to wage and hour laws.
- Assists with maintenance of employee files, HRIS database, records and statistics in accordance with laws, regulations and company policy.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management, employees, customers and vendors by any means necessary to assure understanding and accurate transfer of information.
- Assists with employee training and development programs. Assure training meets state, federal and safety requirements.
- Assist with employment screening and preliminary interviewing of exempt and professional positions
- Support and monitors application of Company policies and procedures, and employment laws ensuring consistent application for all employees.
- Assists with local employment agencies in order to assure proper staffing on all three shifts.
- Able to perform as back-up Director of Human Resources if or when needed.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Participates in meetings and attend seminars as necessary to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Assist with the administration of recreational activities and other programs aimed at maintaining employee interest, participation, and morale.
- Consults and coordinates with the HR team in matters involving overall employee relations policies and practices.
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours, overtime or alternate shifts to accommodate departmental needs when required.
- Must be able to multi-task and work successfully in a fast paced environment, with strong attention to safety.

Education*
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
Experience
- 5-10 years of work in Human Resources (Manufacturing HR preferred)
Skills
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers, clients and vendors.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,500.00 - $79,500.00 per year
