JOB TITLE: Talent Buyer
REPORTS TO: Senior Talent Buyer(s) / Director(s) of Booking
JOB OVERVIEW
Spectacle Live is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in live entertainment. This position will work alongside Spectacle Live’s Senior Talent Buyers to book and maintain a busy calendar of events in all of Spectacle Live’s venues as well as assist in the booking of events for Spectacle Live partners and contract obligations.

ABOUT SPECTACLE LIVE
Spectacle Live was founded in 2012 after having gained valuable venue management, event booking and marketing experience at a variety of venues for 15 years. Since its founding, Spectacle Live has worked with more than a dozen New England venues on facility management, and in promoting, marketing, and producing hundreds of concerts, comedy, civic, educational, theatrical, and family entertainment events. Spectacle Live has also been a valuable consulting partner to municipalities and non-profit venue owners, developers, programmers, and operators.
RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES
- Create and maintain relationships with key agents, managers, artists, and industry personnel
- Research, build, and negotiate offers and contract agreements between Spectacle Live and agents
- Track market trends to identify opportunities in short-term and long-term basis
- Manage the execution of artist and venue contracts and deposits
- Manage and execute the booking of events in number of venues, including Spectacle Live managed venues, 4 wall venues, and Spectacle Live contract venues
- Assist with the booking of events for Spectacle Live partners
- Maintain projections for events booked
- Manage budgets of events booked
- Maintain venue calendars
- Coordinate with Marketing and Ticketing departments
- Coordinate with Production, Events, and Operations departments to ensure efficient execution of events booked
- Build and execute show settlements and corresponding documents
- Responsible for financial analysis and close out following booked event
- Represent Spectacle Live in-person at booked events
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Prior talent buying experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and basic computer skills required
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, required
- Prior live entertainment or event experience preferred
- Prior contract management experience preferred
- Prior administrative experience preferred
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position for 40 hours a week. Some event coverage required
Position is based in our corporate headquarters (Lexington, MA). Candiates seeking a hybrid or work-from-home schedule will not be considered.
