Join Work For Warriors as a Veteran Staffing Consultant
Locations: Must reside in the Bay Area, as far north as Vacaville or South Bay Area.
Are you dedicated to supporting Veterans and their families? Work For Warriors (WFW) is seeking a Veteran Staffing Consultant to join our team in California, focused on empowering veterans with employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Recruit candidates for the WFW program, offering job placement guidance.
· Conduct outreach to Service Members and their families, providing employment services.
· Network with community and business leaders for employment opportunities.
· Be knowledgeable about state and federal support programs for Service Members.
· Offer case management services including resume writing and interview coaching.
· Participate in Yellow Ribbon Deployment Cycle Support Programs.
· Participate in various events such as pre-deployment, post-deployment seminars, transitioning out courses, family days, etc.
· Maintain relationships with community leaders and employers for job opportunities.
· Conduct workshops and provide individual coaching for employment success.
· Provide briefings and support at local units within assigned territories.
Work Schedule:
· Onsite work, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. (30 hours a week)
· Must be available to work some weekends each month for events [*modified weekly work schedule when required to support a weekend event].
· Occasional travel to events is required.

Requirements:
· Military/Veteran or Military Spouse.
· Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
· Customer service experience and public speaking skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media management.
· Strong time management and multitasking abilities -ability to work autonomously.
· Willingness to travel and work on occasional weekends.
· Sales, recruiting, or military transition support experience.
· Familiarity with military family benefits and challenges is a plus.
