Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
- Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records by all departments.
- Proposes, publishes, and administers personnel policies.
- Administers reviews and updates Job Descriptions.
- Oversees new hire application process.
- Maintains permanent personnel records, medical processes and Medical Files.
- Conducts or assists with orientation programs.
- Coordinates grievance hearings, and related activities.
- Oversees benefit program.
- Responsible for labor relations.
- Monitors unemployment claims, assists Client/ Branch Managers with appeals. Attends or designates a representative to attend all EDD Hearings.
- Monitors Performance Evaluation program.
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all ProGuard personnel.
- Monitors workers' compensation claims and coordinates interactions among employee \ insurance carrier.
- Oversees Employee Disciplinary actions and approves all ProGuard separations, voluntary or involuntary.
- Oversees Training and mandated training compliance.
- Annual audit of employee training hours.
- Schedule continuing Training Classes to fulfill Company needs.
Qualifications
- Eight (8) years' managerial and supervisory experience in public or private personnel management; OR
- A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource management or related Personnel/Human Resources field. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary.
Certificates And Licenses Required:
SHRM Certified Professional Human Resource (PHR or SPHR) preferred or equivalent certification. Maintain continuing education credits to retain certification.
