An Area Supervisor is an entry level management position within HSS that will serve as a liaison between HSS team members and client hotels. He or she must display a warm and friendly demeanor, professional appearance and have the ability to recruit, screen, manage and assist in training of team members. Establishing and developing strong relationships with our current and new customers. This position reports directly to the Area Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
* Contact hotel on daily basis, by phone or in person
* Assess situation, cover call offs, supplement staffing if requested by hotel. (On Call)
* Complete daily activity reports and note all pertinent issues or conversations
* Interact and support HSS team members as needed
* Be available by cell phone to team members and hotel managers
* Collect and assist area manager in compiling payroll information
* Document and communicate terminations to area manager
* Pick up schedules each week and discuss with area manager
* Assist area manager in dispersing paychecks
* Pick up job opening or listing from hotel HR office and discuss with area manager
* Develop recruiting network with assistance of area manager
* Assist area manager in completion of new hire paperwork
* Assist area manager with orientation
* Translate forms as needed
* Report and document any workers compensation incidents
* Alert area manager to any issues involving team members or the hotels
* Address performance/attendance issues with the area manager's assistance
* Maintain phone list of current team members and recruits
* Service all accounts assigned conducts weekly meetings with hotel managers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to translate written and oral communications effectively
* Ability to listen and empathize with team members and assist in their personal and professional development
* Ability to be flexible and manage time effectively- Weekends must be "On Call"
* Must have computer skills.
* Bilingual: English and Spanish
* Preferred with hotel or Restaurant management experience but no necessary
