The Talent Acquisition Manager will be located at the company's Harlem River Yard – NYC headquarters, reporting to the Head of People. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for providing the highest level of staffing services to FreshDirect. This individual will lead a team which performs full end-to-end recruiting and maintain excellent relations with senior leaders and hiring managers, candidates, staffing agencies and the community at-large. The position requires a wide degree of creativity, near and long-term recruiting vision, leadership abilities and business understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with hiring managers at all levels from various departments within FreshDirect to develop, plan and execute a workforce planning strategy.
- Provides leadership, coaching and career development to the Talent Acquisition team.
- Provides expertise in specific areas of talent acquisition including, but not limited to: workforce planning, candidate experience, recruitment KPIs, sourcing, diversity and inclusion, process improvement, and technology enhancements.
- Conduct regular follow-up meetings with business line leaders to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
- Responsible for coaching business leaders around talent acquisition hiring practices; ensure hiring managers are trained on interview skills and service level agreements commitments.
- Research, recommend, and implement new and innovative sourcing avenues for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Manages staffing agency vendors and negotiates vendor contracts, including job boards.
- Partner with employer branding specialist to create brand awareness and reputation in the internal and external talent marketplace.
- Optimize recruiting ATS workflows to improve effectiveness and productivity.
- Lead and/or participate in projects and initiatives related to talent acquisition.
Education and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience recruiting in a high-volume field.
- Prior experience leading a team of recruiters.
- Experience in a fast-paced Human Resources environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent interviewing and active listening skills.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting based job boards, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and creative sourcing techniques.
- Capacity to prioritize work and address time sensitive matters.
- Working knowledge of employment laws.
- Critical thinking skills.
