Brief Description:
Human resource (HR) managers handle various tasks, including recruitment, training, career development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, industrial relations, employment law compliance, disciplinary and grievance issues, and redundancies. It is essential to keep up to date with the ever-changing employment laws.
Responsibilities
· Manage the implementation of compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, as well as safety programs.
· Advised management on organizational policies related to equal employment opportunities and sexual harassment, with necessary recommendations for changes.
· Analyze and revise compensation and benefits policies to ensure legal compliance and competitiveness.
- Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select qualified applicants.
· Perform difficult staffing duties, including handling understaffing, disputes, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
· Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
· Supervised subordinates and staff in employment, compensation, labor, and employee relations.
· Plans organize, direct, control or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relation activities of the organization.
· Attend personnel-related hearings and investigations on behalf of the organization.
· Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
· Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions.
· Maintains pay structure through pay surveys, job evaluations, pay action monitoring, and implementing pay structure revisions.
· Co-manage, scheduling and organizing meetings along with CEO, President.
- Together with the CEO and President, lead the implementation and management of employee incentive programs.
· Establish a strong partnership with leadership and employees to develop the optimal culture to drive high performance, retention, and engagement.
- Manage Safety and wellness programs to ensure a safe work environment for all Employees, and all State, Federal and OSHA laws are adhered to.

Qualifications and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or equivalent.
· 5 -7 years of experience in the human resource management field.
· Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite
· Strong written and verbal communication
· Bilingual is a plus Spanish/English
· The skill of active listening, leadership, and talent acquisition to identify suitable candidates for a job.
· The ability to understand others' reactions, identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions, and bring people together to reconcile differences using logic and reason.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of California, must have an acceptable driving record, and must have automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessitated by urgent tasks.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting and Standing: The role is often performed in an office setting and may require the incumbent to stand for periods of up to 3 hours in a day and sit at a desk at a computer for up to 6+ hours a day .
- Manual Dexterity: Handling paperwork, typing, feel; reach with hands and arms; and using computer software with precise finger movements and coordination.
- Visual Acuity: Reading websites, documents, spreadsheets, emails and agreements requires good eyesight. Human Resources Managers should be able to focus on details and read small print.
- Mobility: While the role is primarily sedentary, some mobility is necessary. The employee may need to move between departments, attend meetings, or access filing cabinets.
5. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication is crucial. Employee must be able to effectively talk and hear. HR Managers interact with colleagues, so effective communication is essential. The role may require frequent communication in person and by telephone.
6. Equipment Operation: The role may require frequent operation of standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
- Lifting: The employee may occasionally be required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
