Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Recruiter to join our team. As a Human Resources Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in talent acquisition, training development, and overall HR support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions. This includes but is not limited to posting positions, reviewing, and pre-screening candidates, perform any pre-selection testing, complete the onboarding process, and audit files for new hires.
- Collaborates with other departments to understand skills and competencies required for openings and match them with candidates.
- Conducts and ensures all background checks and pre-employment checks are done prior to start. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Sources and attends job fairs and recruiting opportunities in the community. Research new posting opportunities, manages job posting, and advertisement processes.
- Assists with new employee orientation and other trainings as needed. Provides general administrative duties and audits of employee files as needed.
- Enters employee data into systems, including both new hires and changes with accuracy.
- Accountable, reliable, and able to work independently with good judgement.

- Creates a positive experience with each candidate during interviewing and onboarding.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-task work environment, and is a team player.
- Participates in the process of ongoing professional development. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Possesses professional standards and ethics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma / GED Required and a minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience.
Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities: Able to establish and maintain team atmosphere by communicating and collaborating with all that reach out to the Department. Excellent customer service in stressful situations. Maintains professionalism in appearance, communications, and actions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Full understanding of recruitment practices and procedures. Possess a high level of computer proficiency and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
Normal office environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone. May be long periods of sitting. Possible travel to other locations and job fairs. Interacts with employees and members of the public on a daily basis. Able to speak clearly in conversations and general communications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
