- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field
- 3 plus years of experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Must have 2-4 years of experience recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt staff in a non-profit environment and working with an applicant tracking system.
- Must possess strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws, HR practices, and policies. HR certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. Comfortable giving presentations to both large and small groups.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Social Media applications.
- Ability to work under the stress of maintaining proper liaison between Program/Department Heads, managers, and employees.
- Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, reports facts, and other information.
- Ability to comprehend the consequences of various situations and use sound judgment for decision-making.
- Ability to manage own workflow and resolve questions and problems with supervisor.
- Ability to meet attendance standards and work overtime hours, when required.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information.
- Must possess good organizational skills and be detail-oriented; must exhibit accuracy when working with details.
Mental/Physical Demands:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Work requires prolonged concentration using a computer in analyzing and manipulating data. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Duties are performed in a typical office environment. No unusual or adverse working conditions exist
