Junior Recruiter
SWAT Environmental is looking for a Junior Recruiter to support the company’s recruiting and hiring activities. In addition to coordinating schedules and performing clerical duties, the Junior Recruiter will help screen candidates, assist interviewees, and facilitate a smooth and streamlined hiring process for job applicants and hiring managers. The individual in this role will be an excellent communicator who works well with others. This person should possess the ability to evaluate a high volume of candidates based on qualifications and skills to determine if they are a good company fit. SWAT Environmental, the nation’s leading radon mitigation company, is dedicated to creating safer environments by enhancing indoor air quality through reducing radon – the #1 cause of lung cancer among non-smokers – in homes and workplaces across the United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
- Research, sources, and recruit candidates to widen the qualified applicant pool.
- Performs clerical duties like emailing, handling paperwork, and processing background checks.
- Reviews applications and pre-screens candidates.
- Schedules interviews and communicates with candidates.
- Drafts communications materials, such as job postings, emails to candidates, and offer and rejection letters.
- Maintains an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
- Assists candidates during the interview process by answering questions and providing needed information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or work extensive experience in a recruiting role.
- Solid knowledge of the hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Exceptional and professional verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding clerical skills, such as data entry, emailing, and scheduling.
- High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Resilience in the face of unexpected challenges and setbacks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency with an ATS is preferred (experience with Paycor Recruiting and Indeed is a plus).
WORK SETTING:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: On-site at New Berlin, WI office (not a remote position)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday during normal business hours
