Valiant Harbor International is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to play a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for our company. Your expertise in recruitment, knowledge of sourcing platforms, and ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities will be essential in identifying and selecting the best potential candidates to fulfill a wide array of professional competencies.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in sourcing talented professionals in a federal contracting environment, and will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Oversees full life cycle (end-to-end) recruiting and onboarding support, from drafting job requisitions to assisting with the candidate onboarding processes.
- Work closely with company executives to understand staffing needs and preferences.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including websites, job boards, social media, and networking to identify potential candidates.
- Source, recruit, screen, and recommend candidates in compliance with organization policy and government regulatory guidelines.
- Assess employment applications, questionnaire responses, and evaluate resumes for technical competence and applicable education, skills/experiences. May participate in more formal and in-depth interview processes.
- Coordinate all pre-employment activities, including but no limited to timely and accurately documenting candidate information in applicant tracking system(s) and processing pre-employment background checks.
- Participate in development of short/long-range company objectives concerning growth objectives, manpower availability, talent acquisition requirements, etc.
- Assist the Business Development Team in developing advertising and marketing strategies and campaigns related to talent acquisition.
- Gather and analyze multi-factor recruitment and employment data from multiple sources, including applicant tracking system(s), to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in achieving company objectives.
- Maintain awareness of current industry trends, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations.
Required Skills/Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred with three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
- In lieu of a degree, five-plus (5+) years of relevant experience (combination of education, experience, and certifications will be considered).
- Experience recruiting in government contracting industry a plus; prior experience in technical recruiting (e.g., science & technology fields) preferred.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (e.g., Bamboo HR, The Applicant Tracking Manager, Greenhouse, etc.)
- Experience attending industry/academic job fairs a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
