This position will directly assist the Talent Acquisition Manager at the Rhome, TX site (near Fort Worth) focusing on operational recruitment activities, extending job offers, attending job fairs, hosting onboarding/orientation, and supporting employee relations projects.
If getting to know people and matching candidates' skills is your thing, this position is for you. The role requires onsite work 3 days a week to support the Operations team directly. Hybrid flexibility 2 days a week after the training period has concluded.
Starting pay will be commensurate with experience, skills, and abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements of the hiring manager to attract and recruit candidates using various channels including job postings, social media, and professional networks
- Continuously source candidates so A-Gas has a healthy pipeline of quality candidates to review
- Support the company's Affirmative Action Plans through Diversity hiring initiatives.
- Attend job fairs in the DFW market and create relationships with diverse organizations and local universities within the market to help provide quality referrals of candidates.
- Stay current with what is going on in the DFW market and trends in recruiting and make recommendations for improvements.
- Schedule interviews by coordinating with the hiring manager and candidates
- Assist with hosting orientations for new hires
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the onboarding experience for new employees
- Ensure compliance with all federal and local labor laws
- Audit HR files and ensure files are kept up to date
- Participate in the local employee relations committee
- Acts as an ambassador of the A-Gas Way
- Other duties as required
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- GED or High School diploma required; College degree preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Previous experience in recruitment or HR 1-2 years
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet applications; Desire to win as a team and support new initiatives and programs
