Job Summary
Candidate MUST have a minimum 2+ years experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Experience:
-must be LVN or RN
-must have nursing home experience
-must have experience as ADON (prefer at least 2 years)
-must have knowledge / experience with scheduling.
Position Description
Assistant Director of Nursing
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the Director of Nursing with scheduling, staff education, processing new admissions, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the schedule for the nursing department
- Carry the on-call phone during normal business hours M-F
- Manage call-ins and cover shifts during normal business hours M-F
- Assist floor nurses with new admission assessments and order entry
- Provide and manage staff education, including TB/CXR, Hep B, Covid Status/Cards, IV Certifications, CPR, Annual Training Requirements and other in-services
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- This role participates in the on-call rotation and will carry the on-call phone after hours once every 4 weeks
Education
- Must possess, as a minimum a completed nursing license from an accredited nursing program/college/university.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour
