JOB PURPOSE or JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform duties to promote and support the Company’s goals and vision by Identifying and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient plant operations by enabling the workforce to meet all production and scheduling goals in a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and oversee a “Computerized Maintenance Management System” that includes downtime tracking/reporting, work order generation and management, preventative maintenance, ordering and tracking spare parts and supplies, and creating a Total Productive Maintenance system.
- Ensure all safety devices are in place and operating correctly, utilizing safety protocols during operations and repairs, i.e., Lockout, PPE, etc.
- Ensure all Lockout Tagout procedures are accurate by reviewing annually and updating as changes are made to machinery.
- Analyze electrical, mechanical, and operational issues and take corrective measures to support maximum machine uptime and efficiency.
- Review production schedules and perform changes or scheduled maintenance with minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Work directly with contracted outside technical resources to schedule activities and train operators and maintenance technicians.
- Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance personnel to support operations creating maximum productivity.
- Provide and encourage additional technical skills training to support current and future automation.
- Actively participate as a member of the manufacturing operations team to support productivity improvement initiatives, participate in problem-solving activities, and support capital projects and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout scheduled shift as well as perform cleaning duties at designated times to contribute to a safe environment.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the full cycle of employment including participating in talent acquisition process and providing unbiased feedback focused on candidate qualifications through to end of employment activities, consistently considering alignment with company mission, vision, and values.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience and/or Training:
- 7-10 years of experience in a general maintenance position utilizing manufacturing operating and mechanical systems.
- 5 + years of leadership experience.
Licenses/Certificates: None
Technology/Equipment:
- Intermediate computer skills and experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Technical Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent work experience.
Experience and/or Training:
- Woodworking CNC machinery experience.
- Experience reading and following schematics.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Able to stand for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. Able to bend, twist and turn.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor working environment, hot in Summer, temperature controlled in Winter. Moving machinery, i.e. forklifts, move able cards, etc. Uneven ground where cart tracks are identified. Air quality may be dusty and potentially require additional PPE in certain areas. Sound level below 85 decibels except in areas specified as requiring hearing protection. Perform work in an office environment and work out in a production environment. Approximate breakdown of time: Office= 35%, Production=65%.
