We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Recruiting to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the recruitment strategy and oversee the hiring process to attract top talent to our organization.
Job Description:
The Director of Recruiting leads the business’s recruiting efforts and is the head of the driver recruitment department. The Director of Recruiting determines the strategic direction and objectives of the recruiting department, which in turn supports the business’s growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards.
Building positive relationships with company drivers and owner operators throughout the recruitment process, as well as, during their employment at the company. This role is also responsible for the strategic vision and leadership of all driver recruiters and recruiting and advertising initiatives. The ideal candidate will be expected to lead the recruiting team to help them with targeting, contacting and qualifying strong candidates, planning and implementing recruiting campaigns and strategies and managing the advertising budget and creative strategy for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of 3-4 Driver Recruiters (various tenures within the company).
- As needed, serve as a back-up for the team and be responsible for hiring CDL drivers utilizing various outlets including outside recruiters, driver referrals, inquiries to the website and job posting websites.
- Manage department budget including but not limited to staffing, advertising / marketing and recruitment expenses.
- Develop and maintain scorecards to provide visibility and feedback to the Leadership & Recruiting teams for all KPIs.
- Analyze the company’s current recruiting instruments and software and work to optimize those activities.
- Implement successful advertising campaigns to generate desired leads.
- Work to improve the effectiveness of all driver placement sources.
- Stay up to date on internal & external “Driver Acquisition Best Practices & Trends” and conduct regular competitor analysis assessments and present findings to the Leadership team.
- Utilize analytical skills to determine new and efficient ways of driver recruiting.
- Continuously research and present new recruiting methods and driver acquisition best practices and trends to keep the company ahead of competitors.
- Partner with business leadership teams to evaluate current and future capacity needs and implement strategic plans to achieve desired results.
- Drive performance and lead team to exceed established capacity goals.
- Identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resource performance by developing, recommending and implementing solutions and best practices.
Experience:
Min BBA degree.
5-7+ years of Driver Recruiting experience.
3-5+ years of proven Leadership / Management experience.
3-5+ years knowledge of DOT, Safety and Compliance
- The candidate must additionally have experience directly managing recruitment managers and teams, leading to the acquisition of the best talents in the market.
- A suitable candidate will additionally demonstrate vast knowledge of recruiting database systems as well as knowledge of rewards programs inclusive of offer generation.
- Must take an analytical approach when evaluating and deriving business initiatives and problem identification.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Demonstrate well-developed listening skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and react professionally during periods of stress with somewhat limited information periodically.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
- Problem solving skills and research skills used to determine resolution for driver related issues.
Ability to attain successful results for retention.
Computer knowledge and data entry skills.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
