Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist oversees daily HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and policy enforcement. They collaborate with managers to assess hiring needs, conduct interviews, and ensure compliance with employment laws. Additionally, they manage employee training, handle inquiries, and maintain HR program effectiveness. The HR Generalist also stays updated on HR trends and laws while prioritizing integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists with performance evaluations.
- Does not have direct reports.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages compliance with training requirements, including safety, anti-harassment, and workplace violence training.
- Coordinates recruitment efforts, conducts interviews, and ensures hiring of qualified candidates.
- Handles background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Executes new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
- Administers HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, and performance management.
- Addresses employment inquiries, referring complex matters appropriately.
- Participates in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and reviews policies accordingly.
- Stays updated on HR trends, legal changes, and technology advancements.
- Prepares payroll accurately and on time.
- Performs other assigned duties.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of human resource generalist experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of desk work and computer usage.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
