Job Summary: As a Human Resources Generalist at Edwards FCU, you will play a vital role in supporting our team members and shaping our organizational culture. You will be responsible for various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and compliance. By promoting a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, you will contribute to our ongoing success and growth.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in administering day-to-day HRIS processes, including payroll management and benefits administration.
- Support the oversight of the 401(k) plan and benefits programs, assisting in negotiations with vendors to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, conducting interviews and providing recommendations for qualified candidates.
- Provide support on employee relations matters and ensure legal compliance with terminations and exit interviews.
- Assist in the development and delivery of new employee orientation and training programs.
- Contribute to the maintenance of performance appraisal systems and assist in the development of employee bonus and incentive programs.
- Collaborate on workplace injury investigations and assist in preparing reports for insurance carriers.
- Assist with salary surveys, contribute to the development of salary structures, and help maintain confidential employee records.
- Support in monitoring attendance and assist in coordinating corrective action as needed.
- Assist in administering the Employee Opinion Survey and contribute to the implementation of action plans.
- Support ongoing wellness initiatives and help promote HR programs to foster an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in identifying future staffing needs and contribute to recruitment strategies.
- Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret laws and regulations.
- Broad knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management, staff, and members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Knowledge of employment law.
- 1-3 years of HR experience preferred.
- HR Certification a plus.
- Previous experience in the Credit Union Industry is desirable.
