Purpose
The HR Partner - Talent Acquisition, Distribution manages the full lifecycle, high volume, recruitment process for non-exempt/hourly positions for the Save A Lot Distributions Centers. A successful HR Partner - Talent Acquisition, Distribution will be effective and efficient at researching, sourcing, interviewing, and evaluating internal and external candidates for employment opportunities for hiring managers. Partner with Distribution hiring managers to translate business needs into various recruiting and sourcing tactics. Provide both short and long-term staffing solutions that involve the identification and attraction of entry level through mid-level talent. Advise hiring managers on competitive staffing practices and plans.
Responsibilities
- Partnership with Hiring Mangers in Distribution on identifying recruitment needs for hourly, non-exempt openings
- Responsible for high volume full lifecycle recruiting
- Leads talent acquisition tactics for Distribution non-exempt positions. i.e., job postings, hiring events, recruiting materials, etc.
- Sources, attracts, assesses, interviews, and evaluates prospective candidates and applicants
- Posting / Social Media marketing for internal and external customer recruiting needs
- Provides complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position
- Identifies new and strengthen existing relationships with external resources such as academic institutions, professional and community-based organizations, and client groups to source the market for quality hires
- Responsible offer process from pre-qualifying to “close”
- Manages and coordinates communications with candidates and client groups
- Ensure positive onboarding experience
- Maintains all progress and status reports or related staffing metrics, communicating this to the Talent Acquisition Director and client groups
- Participates in project work to deliver on strategy business initiatives
- Seeks continuous improvements to enhance the capabilities of the staffing team
- Participates in departmental process improvement project work on an as-needed basis
- Schedules candidate’s travel, interviews, pre-employment testing, and background and reference checks
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR related matters and information
- Performs other duties as assigned
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field required and a minimum of 1-3 years of full lifecycle, high volume, recruiting experience
- Grocery Retail, Wholesale or related industry experience and working knowledge of human resources practices such as compensation, benefits and employment law is a plus
- Experience in competency based and behavioral interviewing techniques
- Possess project management skills and the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
- Ability to research and source talent, conduct sophisticated recruitment activities confidentially and with discretion
- Must be able to align recruiting work with business needs, adapt well to changes in the work environment and can successfully manage competing demands while meeting critical deadlines
- Proven ability to maintain effective business relationships within all areas of the company and the ability to work with all levels of employees
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong credibility, presence, and the ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to ~20% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during a normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
