St. Croix Hospice has an opportunity for a Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing company. In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition, Manager of Talent Acquisition and Recruiters, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in ensuring a quality experience for our candidates throughout the pre-hire screening and onboarding processes. This position is accountable for the ownership and successful manage of onboarding all employees across multiple states and locations. Requiring tremendous attention to detail, the Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the new hire screening processes including drug screens, background checks and fingerprinting requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the onboarding process in a fast-paced environment providing effective communication and coordination with external candidates, internal employees, hiring managers and the Human Resources team.
- Administering the entire pre-employment onboarding process for multi-state locations within the St. Croix Hospice geography
- Responsible for proactive management and organization of all new hire drug screening, background investigation and finger printing processes for multiple states and locations
- Accountability to oversee timely completion of new employee onboarding paperwork and processes such as offer letters, I-9s, professional reference checking requests
- Consistently updating and managing candidate and employee reports and tracking
- Primary point of contact with candidate screening and pre-employment vendors and processing invoices
- Supporting newly hired employees with onboarding tasks and completion of preemployment drug and background procedures
- Creating and maintaining candidate information with the applicant tracking system
- Assigning system access and applicable onboarding checklists to all new hires
- Responding to general employment inquiries and provide guidance to job seekers consistent with St. Croix Hospice's employment policies, state and federal employment law, while promoting efficient, legal, and inclusive hiring practices
- Closely monitoring and following up on candidate activities to ensure candidates are efficiently moving through the selection process
- Assisting the Talent Acquisition team by providing recruitment status updates to Hiring Managers regarding candidates and new hires
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all candidate and employee data
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Three or more years of experience in a Recruitment and or HR role
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail are required daily ST CROIX HOSPICE Job Descriptions
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required to multi-task with numerous stakeholders both internally and externally
- Work well under pressure and with short deadlines and a demanding workload
- Knowledge and experience with applicant tracking systems, digital interviewing, and/or other hiring related software platforms desired
- Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong MS Outlook and Teams experience for scheduling meetings and interviews Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to effectively work in a hybrid environment of an office setting and with a virtual or remote team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with short lead time
