We are seeking a Talent Director to join the Talent Management team at The Digital Dept. As Talent Director, you will: manage your own roster of talent; oversee your Pod and its team members and their rosters; and work with leadership on strategies to drive business development and revenue generation across the organization. You will help create and nurture a collaborative and cooperative Pod and TM team structure as we look to scale the business, while continuing to manage your own roster and striving to meet and exceed revenue/stretch goals. We are seeking someone with management experience with 7+ years experience in talent management/influencer marketing. Candidates should be familiar with content creators, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, etc), building out digital marketing programs and working closely with brands/creators.
Location: Los Angeles or New York
Working independently, within the Pod structure and alongside leadership, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Achieve your personal sales and stretch goals, and lead your Pod to achieve the same
- Develop your leadership style and skills to ensure effective management of your Pod
- Define goals, strategies, and most efficient tactics to drive new business growth through talent recruitment and brand partnerships
- Support talent retention strategy to foster longer-term relationships leading to contract renewals
- Assist in establishing metrics of success for individual talents
- Assist in establishing metrics of success for your Pod and overall talent team
- Mentor and support your Pod and oversee growth and development initiatives
- Assist in the continued creation of a results-oriented culture where team members collaborate to meet overall company goals
- Identifying issues, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve overall team and talent performance, assisting in managing resolutions through communication.
- Assist with marketing strategy to ensure effective communication targeted to new talent business and new brand partnerships
- Work closely with Marketing to devise additional opportunities via materials for revenue-driving through communication tactics
- Help identify strategic partnership opportunities for growth potential
- Actively participate in meetings across teams, including creative brainstorms, marketing, etc
- Work with leadership to support the org on development of technology products to ensure we build features that will assist in new business opportunities and talent retention
Qualitative Responsibilities
- Successfully manage Pod structure and transition into team leadership role and people manager
- Embody and display team mantra and operating strategy of “cooperation & collaboration” and ensure your Pod and the broader team are also doing the same
- Mentor junior team members to ensure they’re building their rosters successfully and developing the skill sets, relationships and processes needed to be a successful
- Continue building your stature and voice as an industry leader and strategist in the Influencer space
- Work with leadership to identify and execute initiatives that will lead to increased talent acquisition and/or increased revenue through brand partnerships/business development
Working Environment/Physical Demands
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone, to enter data using a computer keyboard, and to perform; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms and on the telephone; physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Base Salary
$95,000/year + Commission Plan
