Role and Responsibilities
As an experienced People Business Partner, this role requires a strategic and proactive approach to ensure the successful implementation and execution of HR initiatives aligned with the people team and business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational objectives and enhance employee experience. This is a senior level professional, individual contributor role with room to grow your HR expertise.
Key focus areas:
- You will assist the Head of People Team and Lead of People Operations with special programs and projects as needed.
- You will participate in the continual evolution of HR programs such as Talent Management, Incentive Compensation, Performance Management, benefits and more.
- You will partner with Lead of Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies, ensuring we attract and retain top talent while developing succession plans to build a robust talent pipeline.
- You will partner with the compensation lead to educate staff on compensation practices, including compensation, performance feedback, calibration, and career transitions.
- To maintain a positive work environment, you will address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
- You will identify areas for organizational improvement and development and assist in designing and implementing change initiatives.
- You will ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations and update and communicate HR policies as needed.
- You will create data analysis or be relied upon to use HR data and analytics to identify trends and recommend correlative actions to enhance the organization's performance.
- You will have the opportunity to lead and program manage impactful growth and development programs in partnership with the Lead of Talent Development. You will coach and consult senior and middle management leaders on their career journey.
- You will collaborate and communicate frequently with various Samsung subsidiaries.
Skills and Qualifications
- Career Coach certification preferred (e.g., Korn Ferry, Deloitte etc.).
- Proven experience as an Sr. HRBP or Sr. HR Generalist with at least 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 8 years’ experience and a Master's degree or 6 years’ experience and a Ph.D.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly at various levels
- Solid knowledge of compensation fundamentals
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Excellent program management skills with the ability to plan, organize and lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address program challenges.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey program goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority
- Proficiency in HRIS (Workday) and MS Office Suite,
- Proficiency in Python or MS Access is a plus
- Ethical solid and confidentiality principles.
- Possess the capability to create and provide insightful data analytics related to workforce analysis, headcount, organizational planning, and employee engagement.

We have 3 primary locations we support - Austin, TX, San Jose, and San Diego, CA. We have a hybrid schedule and are in the office Tuesday – Thursday and at home on Mondays and Fridays. Pay Transparency
At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,057.00 and $237,770.00
Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
