We are hiring dynamic and engaging tutors for a small after-school tutoring center, which values mastery, connection, and creativity. Their tutors are granted a great deal of flexibility in scheduling, and autonomy in their tutoring sessions.

We are hiring in all K-12 subjects, but are primarily looking for:
Reading Tutors:
- Ideal candidates would have a record of success in helping students become stronger readers and better writers. Additionally, prior experience in teaching elementary-aged children (kindergarten through eighth grade) how to read and write, considered a plus, as well as someone who is proficient in the use of the Wilson Reading System, Orton Gillingham approach, SPIRE (or scripted reading program), or one of the other leading reading programs.
ACT Prep Tutors:
- Ideal candidates would have a background in high school level math, can be trained in the areas of reading, science, and ELA, and can demonstrate proficiency in ACT Prep.
The majority of their tutoring is done on a 1-on-1 basis, though they do have some small group sessions. They are located in the Maryland Farms area.
All positions are part-time (they can offer up to 22 hours per week), and you can determine your schedule! Their tutoring hours are 3:30 PM - 8 PM Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 6 PM Friday and 9 AM - 2 PM Saturday.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with youth and/or children (ideally classroom or tutoring experience)
- Will abide by an expectation of professional conduct, dress, and communication
- Must be willing to submit to an in-depth interview and background check
