Talent Acquisition Specialist/Recruiter
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day recruiting activities at our Savannah, Georgia Warehouse Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with Shaw Savannah HR and Operations team to recruit and retain talented warehouse associates. The TA Specialist will be an active participant in interview events, networking functions, and career fairs.

Responsibilities
- Manage internal/external hourly job openings for Savannah and other sites as assigned.
- Work closely with hiring managers, HR managers, and HR Reps to gain a clear understanding of position qualifications.
- Prescreen candidates (face-to-face and via phone), schedule interviews, make offers, oversee the completion of pre-employment activities, and monitor start date rosters.
- Provide insight to HR offices to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed throughout the pre-hire process.
- Build and develop relationships with business partners across the Shaw organization and with community organizations.
- Conduct interview events at off-site and on-site locations. Attend career fairs (at high schools, technical schools, and colleges) and networking events sponsored by local agencies and organizations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and approve background and reference checks.
- Develop innovative solutions to acquire new and diverse production and hourly talent.
- Maintain current and detailed knowledge of company policies, benefits, and other initiatives.
- Identify candidates for the Department of Labor On-the-Job Training program and coordinate signing up participants.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience in recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, human resources, training, or leadership of others is required.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is highly desired.
- Experience with Workday or other applicant tracking software is highly desired.
- Fluency in Spanish, both oral and written, is desired but not required.
