About The Position:
Reporting to a Program Manager, a Virtual Access Student Recruiter works remotely to provide virtual support by text, phone/video, and email to help with the recruitment efforts of high school students into the Core+ program for the 24/25 school year. Recruiters will help with answering student’s questions, provide insight into the Core+ program and follow up with providing any LGR additional resources for students as necessary. Recruiter will be provided a script, training and supervision.

Work alongside Program Manager to develop recruitment strategies

Implement recruitment strategies and techniques detailed on recruitment script

Attract and engage high school students by sharing personal experiences from working in Core+ program

Track communication with students directly on call list document

Bringing to the attention of the Program Manager any students who may need additional follow up

Attend weekly supervision meeting (by phone/video) with a Program Manager to discuss progress towards goals; flagging and notifying Program Manager of urgent/sensitive situations
Qualifications and Experience:

Be extremely comfortable building relationships virtually via phone calls, email, text messaging, live video streams, etc.

Have exceptional rapport-building ability, communication skills, time management, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving skills

Balance result-driven work with a personable approach

Be comfortable working independently and dependently in a virtual environment

Lived experience or experience working with students from under-resourced communities

1st generation college student

In good academic standing and plan to be enrolled in college in school year 2024-2025

Previous experience serving as a mentor to first-generation college students

Schedule flexibility to ensure students are being served via regular communication

Excellent self-motivation skills

Experience with data entry a plus
More about the Position and Location:
This is a part-time remote position that requires 3 to 7 hours per week. The schedule varies, but coaches are expected to commit to the position from July 9 through August 1. Flexibility will be offered as appropriate to meet program objectives and in consultation with your manager.
Compensation:
The hourly wage is at least $12.00/hour or your work location’s minimum wage - whichever is higher.
