Inspire, the online health community that supports millions of patients and caregivers, advances understanding of the health journey, and partners with the biopharmaceutical community to provide patient access and real-world evidence solutions is seeking a Director, Human Resources reporting to our Chief Financial Officer.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Manage the Human Resource function for a team of about 60, including payroll, compliance with employment laws and regulations, compensation, benefits and 401k, learning & development, talent acquisition, employee relations, and employee engagement programs, and managing our PEO (Insperity).
- Design and launch, or improve the existing, HR cycles and processes, such as recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, annual individual goal setting and development plans, performance management, compensation adjustments, training programs, etc. You will develop HR specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as maintain and improve existing SOPs, with a focus on standardizing processes, transparency and internal controls.
- Manage organization-wide employee focused processes related to the life cycle of staff including recruiting and orientation, retention and engagement, training and development, performance management, feedback, promotions and benefits administration.
- Plan and implement people and talent initiatives in support of Inspire’s organizational culture, to deliver on the company’s objectives, and to attract and retain staff.
- Develop the capabilities of the team through training and education and identification of assignments which bring out the best in people.
- Manage the recruiting process within the broader hiring process, as well as the onboarding process.
- Foster a high performing and inclusive team, with attention to increasing diversity initiatives.
- Oversee payroll and lead the roll-out of the annual benefit renewal process with benefits provider.
- Manage the Senior HR Manager at our wholly owned subsidiary in India.
- Drive initiatives aimed at strengthening Inspire’s culture.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for a resourceful team player who is passionate about our mission, eager to learn and grow at Inspire, and ready to make an immediate impact.
- 7+ years experience as an HR generalist in a growth company or entrepreneurial organization.
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree in Human Resources is a plus
- 2-3 years of managerial experience
- Proven track record of excellence in people administration, recruiting and talent management, payroll administration, performance management, employee relations and compensation and benefits.
- Experience with PEO platforms, such as Insperity, is a strong plus.
- You must be process oriented and have proven experience developing and managing all processes related to the HR functions of a company, including assessing processes and identifying areas of improvement, designing improved operations and developing and maintaining SOPs.
- Balance of high IQ, EQ, and business acumen to facilitate building trusted advisor
- relationships with stakeholders.
- Results oriented mindset with the ability to be flexible in order to find the right balance between operational pressures, annual objectives and various internal and external pressures.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
