Role

The Vice President of People (VP of People), you will play a pivotal role in leading and driving the overall human resources strategy for AppHub. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for creating and executing HR initiatives that align with the company's objectives, foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and contribute to the development and retention of top talent. This is a full-time, fully-remote role with 5-10% business travel expected.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company's business goals and long-term growth.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align HR initiatives with the overall corporate strategy.
- Provide strategic guidance on organizational development, succession planning, and talent management.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain a diverse and highly skilled workforce.
- Lead the design and execution of effective onboarding and training programs.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, performance, and career development.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies across all HR activities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of employee relations programs that promote a positive and respectful work environment.
- Handle complex employee issues and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Analyze market trends to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
- Champion initiatives that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
- Develop strategies to enhance cultural awareness and create an inclusive workplace for all employees.
HR Operations and Technology:
- Streamline HR processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Leverage HR technology and data analytics to make informed decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to HR staff.

What We’re Looking For

Deep knowledge of US employment law (global employment law and experience with additional jurisdictions a plus)
Experience having built HR functions and led HR teams.
Experience being part of the Senior Leadership Team and leads with a business mindset.
Strong background building compensation programs and employee architecture.
Experience in tech and SaaS businesses a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in progressively senior HR leadership roles.
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations and sensitive situations.
Experience in organizational development, talent management, and succession planning.
Proficiency in HR technology and data analytics.
Professional certifications such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
