Part - Time Recruiter (Transportation industry)

Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation is seeking a results-oriented and self-motivated Driver Recruiter for our San Francisco office.

Job Summary:

The Part - Time Driver Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment of Company Drivers. (Tues – Thurs – 24 - hour work week) $20.00 an hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Explore creative methods of sourcing qualified candidates.
Conduct telephone and personal interviews daily with prospective candidates.
Review and process applications of prospective hires and determine if the applicant is qualified.
Maintain complete files on new hires as appropriate.
Travel to training schools, job fairs, and work industry trade shows as needed representing Bauer’s.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

High volume recruiting.
Recruit and retain the best and safest drivers in the industry.
Conduct day-to-day recruiting activities in accordance with company guidelines and policies.
Develop a pool of qualified applicants using applications, cold calling, social media, networking, job fairs, trade shows, internet postings.
Pre-qualify all applicants and if deemed a good fit, move them quickly (in accordance with company policy) to the next stage in the hiring process.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

2-3 years of previous experience in a related field and customer service experience is required.
Must have strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of applicants.
Needs to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
Great phone etiquette.
professional interviewing & people skills.
Results driven.
Exudes professionalism/project management skills, as well as solid judge of character.
Degree preferred, however relevant experience will suffice.
