Job Overview: The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing the full cycle of recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee retention. This position requires a detail-oriented and people-focused professional who can develop and implement effective HR strategies to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment:

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive sourcing and networking.

2. Onboarding:

Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure new employees have the tools and resources they need to succeed.

3. Training and Development:

Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Conduct training sessions and workshops on various topics, including company policies, procedures, and professional development.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.

4. Employee Retention:

Develop and implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and increase job satisfaction.
Conduct regular check-ins and stay interviews to understand employee needs and concerns.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through various initiatives and programs.
Assist in the development and implementation of employee recognition and rewards programs.

5. HR Administration:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Assist with employee relations issues and provide guidance and support to managers and employees.
Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience in the HVAC or construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
