Job Title: HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: Long Island, NY
Environment: Corporate Office
Pay Rate: $28.62 / hr
General Job Functions: full cycle recruitment - conduct phone interviews, move candidates through hiring process, onboarding, I-9 verification, conducting thorough background and pre-hire screenings, accurate data entry of employee records and maintenance of HR files.
Shift & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with some overtime available.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Talent Acquisition Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Attract, source, recruit, and deliver top talent to GardaWorld Security Services branches in assigned market
- Partner with hiring managers on identifying strategies for sourcing the best candidates and support regular hiring needs
- Employment best-in-class recruitment tactics such as cold-calling, internet searches, database mining, social media and other methods to recruit the best people for each position
- Partner with Regional Talent Leader in the development and execution of recruitment plans, as well as strategies for various critical positions and developing pre-qualified talent pools
- Efficiently using and tracking candidate in the applicant tracking system, IBM Kenexa BrassRing
- Demonstrate high standards of customer service skills and behaviors towards internal clients, external vendors, peers, staff and candidates
- Gather competitive data, industry trends and labor market conditions that translates into successful hiring practices
- Complete other sourcing, recruitment, marketing, and retention projects as assigned
Human Resource Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts pre-employment background checks and employment verifications on potential employees
- Collects and reviews all Drug testing for completion
- Creates and maintains accurate employee files
- Collects the new hire information and enters into the HRIS system
- Provides accurate data entry of employee records into the HRIS system
- Completes employee reports when needed
- Provides general information and answers questions regarding the application of human resources policies and procedures to employees
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality in all processes and paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in staffing or high-volume recruitment is required
