About the Position:
Canature WaterGroup™ is growing! Canature Watergroup™ is looking for a driven, talented, and personable individual to take on the position of HR Generalist. This is an opportunity for a Human Resources professional to work for a rapidly expanding business.
Reporting to the HR Manager in our Canadian headquarters, this position is an on-site position that will be a tactical hands-on role responsible for the delivery of human resource programs and services to assigned business units in conjunction with HR department partners. Recruitment & Selection and Learning & Development are significant areas of responsibility for this position, however the ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in all HR functions. The HR Generalist will be a key position that ensures Canature WaterGroup has appropriate staffing levels and high employee engagement in order to meet key business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in talent acquisition and full cycle recruitment process, reviewing applications, and conducting.
- Collaborate with business unit managers to understand skills and competencies required for job postings
- Conduct employee orientation and onboarding in conjunction with learning partners, including all new hire screening and paperwork
- Maintain a consistent employee onboarding program.
- Monitor employee engagement levels and ensure ongoing improvement to facilitate productivity, retention and high employee morale
- Support the development of department and employee goals in line with training, career progression and corporate goals. Research best practices and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure performance and employee relations issues and addressed and resolved in a fair, consistent and timely manner. Investigate concerns and work with appropriate parties to resolve.
- Escalate employee issues to the HR Manager
- Conduct and maintain retention programs such as STAY interviews and Exit interviews.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on benefit and wellness programs.
- Facilitate benefit program open enrollment
- Assist in the development and administration of human resource policies and procedures
- Participate in various HR projects and initiatives
- Previous experience with employee relations, workers compensation and health and safety also considered assets.

About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations or Talent Acquisition. Experience in all three is preferred.
- Progressive experience working in HR and a good understanding of HR administration and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with clear, positive “people” focus
- Strong business acumen
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products and ability to learn new systems.

About the work environment:
Office:
- This position works in a standard office environment in a seated position.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- Some business travel may be required (overnight where required), (less than 10%)
- This position occasionally deals with stressful situations including terminations, department restructuring, employee performance management, etc.
- Focus and concentration are required to mitigate potential risk in sensitive employee situations and ensure initiatives and implemented and executed per business objectives.
- Additional hours of work may be required occasionally in order to meet deadlines.
- This office location is within a warehouse facility and can be subject to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold), noise and dust.
