POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operation of the organization’s human resources department.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Ensures all HR files and records are collected, scanned, and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and set-up payroll cards.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bi-lingual (Spanish / English)
- Proven working experience as HR manager or HR executive.
- People oriented and results driven.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Highly organized, high energy productive person.
- Savvy with technology, maximizing software features.
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or higher in Human Resources or any other related field.
- At least 3-5 years of Administrative Human Resource experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Canva or any other creative software.
- Must be able to work onsite.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
