About the Role
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive human resources strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. This position will oversee the full range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, HR compliance, and organizational development.
What You Will Do:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and enhance its culture and employee experience. Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives effectively with the overall business strategy.
- Employee Relations: Cultivate positive employee relations and a constructive work environment. Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, coach managers, and handle disciplinary matters.
- Compensation & Benefits: Develop and manage competitive salary structures and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. Oversee payroll processes for accuracy and timeliness.
- Performance Management: Design and implement effective performance management systems, including clear goal setting, regular feedback mechanisms, and development opportunities.
- HR Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Stay up-to-date on best practices in human resources to update policies and procedures as necessary.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Manage the HR department budget effectively. Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and demonstrate the ROI of HR initiatives.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with at least three years in a leadership role.
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is highly desired.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations (federal, state, and local).
- Proven track record of building and executing effective HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-management abilities
- Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in HRIS applications and data analysis.

Compensation for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience.
