Overview
We are actively seeking a bilingual English / Spanish positive, trustworthy, and results-driven individual with high integrity to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department at Lakin Tire LLC. The HR Manager will serve as a crucial support system for all human resources activities, encompassing recruitment, compliance (including DOT regulations), employee relations, recognition, safety, benefits, and training. The ideal candidate will serve as a positive role model for all personnel and maintain confidentiality at all organizational levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure consistency with internal procedures by creating, maintaining, or enforcing company policies and procedures.
· Partners with Leadership management to complete and prepare for BIT and federal inspections.
· Supports the complete recruitment cycle, including job postings, advertisements, cost/budget management interviewing, recruitment metrics, onboarding, and orientation processes.
· Utilize analytical initiatives to promote internal programs aimed at reducing turnover and work-related injuries.
· Supports the Regional HR Director in the development and support of compensation plans by conducting periodic market salary surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
· Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions as needed.
· Identifies and complies with all internal and external legal and compliance requirements and government reporting regulations impacting the Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, Code of Conduct, etc.).
· Supports employee relations including employee corrective action, separation notices, and related disciplinary or separation documentation. Involving the management team in employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
· Analyze training needs to promote, employee engagement, employee development, education, and health and safety training programs. Assists in monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the company.
· Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, absenteeism rates, etc.
· Supports the HR department personnel, delivers guidance to properly complete work assignments and practices, and maintains accountability with department work performance, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
· Continuously review and improve Human Resources policies, programs, metrics, and practices with guidance and review from the Regional Director of Human Resources.
· Keeps Regional HR Director informed of significant problems that may jeopardize the achievement of objectives and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
· Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
· Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
· Oversee invoice processing for the HR department.
· Supports coordinate recognition of company events including creating and meeting budgets.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education/Work Experience:
· A high school diploma or general education (GED) required a college degree in Human Resources preferred. PHR certification plus
· A minimum of 3 years of progressive HR-related experience is required, which includes recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, timekeeping, and safety, preferably within a transportation, warehouse/production environment.
· Ability to communicate fluently in two languages, Spanish and English is required.
· Strong working knowledge of Multi-State and Federal Labor Law, HR Systems, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, and Worker’s Compensation preferred.
· Familiar with local and state regulations, such as DOT and OSHA, preferred.
· Experience working in a union environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Frequent standing and walking
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds when necessary.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
· Up to 10% travel required, to visit other sites, train other employees and attend meetings.
Pay:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
