We're on the hunt for a People (HR) Manager to take the lead in helping to create and deliver a people-centered and values-based culture at our bustling Columbus fulfillment center!
James and James Fulfilment has been on a spectacular journey of growth. In 2021, we made the leap to our huge facility in the UK (you gotta check out our awesome offices on YouTube!). Since then, we've expanded our fulfillment center in Grove City, Ohio, USA, and even opened up sites in Las Vegas, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands!

What you’ll be doing…
Working with our USA leadership team and the People team at our UK head office, you’ll make sure our Ohio culture is thriving and our people are at the heart of everything we do.
You’ll be all about creating a culture that’s not only process-oriented but also proactive and professional. You’ll challenge and support our line managers, ensuring that our team members are treated right, every time. From employee relations to performance management, you’ll tackle any issues that come your way with an energetic, can-do approach.
This is an all-encompassing role and will get you engaged in many areas including:
- Challenging and improving our employee experience
- Working with managers to identify training requirements and opportunities within the business
- Creating scalable employment policies and processes including attendance management
- Maintaining and managing the HR and T&A systems
- Delivering a smooth HR administration service across all areas including processing payroll
- Working with the HR resourcing team, taking the lead on recruitment including writing job descriptions, postings and screening applications and resumes.
- Delivering an outstanding orientation and onboarding experiences for our new starters
- Provide an outstanding front of house service and create a facility and working environment that wows our clients, people and visitors.
We know that great people learn new things quickly, but we would love it if you have the following skills / experience…
- An excellent working knowledge of employee relations, legislation, recruitment and HR best practices
- You’re a strong HR generalist who can run payroll
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA and other relevant labor laws
- You’re data driven and know how to create reporting metrics and KPI’s to influence data driven decisions
- You’ve created and delivered exceptional and measurable transformation with employee engagement, talent, performance and retention, ideally in a startup, SME high growth business and or warehouse/logistics sector
- You have high energy levels, charisma and positivity
- You can work onsite, in our beautiful Grove City warehouse/office location
